Corner Store Market National Rebrand

In a world where fossil fuels are in decline, what is the role of the traditional gas station? What services might an electric vehicle owner be interested in while they charge? That was the prompt provided to the Prophet team as we envisioned the “convenience store of the future” for CST Brands. The ambitious concept was to replace the current strategy of providing primarily quick pre-packaged foods with more fresh offerings.
In my role, I performed multiple in-store ethnographies to gather current-state customer needs. We then used the insights to inform new product offerings and retail designs that fulfilled the needs of today, while also fostering growth for a more sustainable future. I presented our leading concepts to the client's C-suite and achieved our team's goal of inspiring the leadership team to see what the future could look like for their brand.
